SUNDAY MORNINGS IN ADULT EDUCATION 10 – 11 AM

November 6 – One Service at 9:30 AM to include Remembrance of those who have died followed by the Congregational Meeting at 10:45 in Brenner Hall.

November 13 – Its Consecration Sunday with a Celebration Meal following our early and late services.

November 20, December 4 & 11 - Fearless, a study by Max Lucado continues. Fear herds us into a prison of unlocked doors. Wouldn’t it be great to walk out”?

What if faith, not fear, was your default reaction to threats? If you could hover a fear magnet over your heart and extract every last shaving of dread, insecurity, or doubt, what would remain? Envision a day, just one day, where you could trust more and fear less”.  Can you imagine your life without fear?

Coming October 9: Jean Wise on What is spiritual direction?

Spiritual direction is the process of accompanying people on a spiritual journey that emphasizes growing closer to God.

It explores a deeper relationship with the spiritual aspect of being human. Spiritual direction helps us learn how to live in peace, with compassion, promoting justice, as humble servants of God in all life. You may be interested in Jean's blog: www.healthyspirituality.org

WHAT’S NEW?  A MEN’S BIBLE STUDY “WALKING WITH JESUS.”

So often something happened as Jesus and his disciples were on their way from one place to another. He answered questions, taught, spoke about society or religious matters, was approached by someone who was blind or ill. We too are on our way somewhere with Jesus; to work, home from work, another stage of life or a new experience.

We will meet on the 3rd Saturday of the month at a location where you can go for a walk before or after and spend time with your brothers in Bible Study, fellowship and prayer.

The study will begin at 8 AM on Saturday, January 21. Look for us in the Church Copy Room.      Be renewed by our fellowship in the Spirit

 FRIENDS AND FAMILY WELCOME

“Prayer – Does It Make Any Difference?” by Philip Yancey

Does Prayer change us or God?  Or both?

What is prayer?  How does it work?  And more importantly, does it work?

This Bible study will help you look at prayer through discussions, Bible exploration, personal sharing  and group prayer.

The goal is to help you fully consider, experience and cherish the priceless gift of prayer.

You will be encouraged to pray the way Jesus himself did – as if your prayers  make a difference, as if God is there and is listening…..to you.

WE HOPE YOU WILL JOIN US!
